I was a guest on Logan Gelbrich’s “Hold the Standard” Podcast - and what a great conversation we had. I just re-listened to it, and I can honestly say it’s the first time I’ve listened to a podcast I’ve been on as a guest and actually enjoyed it… so guess what that means?
I think you will too!!
One of the things that was really interesting about it was seeing how the events of my life (music, USMC, adventure racing, CrossFit, Whole Life Challenge) have meant different things to me at different times… and how now, from today’s perspective I after lots of self-reflection and soul work, I can see the environment, the water, inside of which I’ve swum most of my life.
I particularly enjoyed the stories I shared about my training at the Santa Monica Zen Center with Bill Jordan, the work I did with my first life coach, Mona Miller and how that lead to my second big spiritual awakening, and how the big upheaval of my Whole Life Challenge business in 2019 broke things wide open for me and led me right into the place I am today.
The conversation wouldn’t have been complete without weaving in the component of integrity - and being your word. It’s a mountain with no top, and as long as you’re being true to yourself as you navigate the journey, you’ve got the fabric that will make you feel whole and complete (even though you are and have always been whole and complete without having to do or be anything).
A few questions to think about as you listen, or perhaps after…
What are the breadcrumbs of my life?
How did I get here (where I am today)?
What did the big events mean at the times they happened, and what do they mean now?
What was I doing and who was I being when I’ve found the most peace, inspiration, and joy in my life?
How am I blocking that from coming through today?
Who do I want to be to create that same peace, inspiration, and joy going forward?

Andy, what a great listen. Great memories of the 1st WLC back at CFLA. Very inspiring to hear about your journey. I forgot how much I respected you and your energy! Hope all is well.
